Pet friendly accommodation in Upper West Side

Location, location! Cannot beat this hotel for its welcoming staff and kudos on improving the historically SLOW elevators and lobby furniture- nice! A bargain with these improvements. Rooms themselves are badly in need of refreshing, but if accepting a tired room still yields a great deal for the night, so be it. Every hotel needs to find a niche, and Empire has plainly decided to rely on location and great prices to attract customers, not to invest in property upkeep.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel was well-located with lots of good restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance.

Very helpful and friendly staff

Conveniently located. Staff was super nice. Rooms are small and not super clean. Wi-Fi and cell service in the room is terrible.
