      One Night Stay

Chose Beachcomber because my flight arrived too late to leave with the Yasawa Flyer on the same day and start my Island Hopping. Beachcomber is one of the Few Islands that is both on the route of the Flyer as well as on some other Ferry routes that leave later during the day. The stay was fine but less memorable than the other ones on my itinerary. From the pictures it looks akin to a small Island in the Maldives, i.e. flat, intimate and surrounded by beach. It is not that idyllic once on the island. There is actually only a beach on one side, the other side is rocky. It is practically not possible to take a stroll around the island, as you can on say Malahini. I cannot say much about the reef since I did not snorkel there. Behind the beach, the little room the island has is fully covered with buildings and paths. The people are welcoming and polite, the food is just OK. Activities I cannot rate since I did not look into them. My room was absolutely fine by Yasawa Bure standards. The private rooms with an own bathroom are among the most affordable on the Flyer route, on the Yasawas you would only get a private Bure with shared facilities - if you are lucky. To sum up: Pro - One of few options to not spend the first night on the main island if u want to head to the Yasawas but arrive too late for the Flyer - decently priced private rooms with own bathroom Cons - Pretty much just a beach with a bar - Food not particularly great

The staff here go above and beyond to making sure you are happy and comfortable. Customer service is 150%. The island is beautiful but small. I went parasailing over the island which was one of the most amazing things i have ever done. Meals are served three times a day plus they have teatime. The beach is clean and they have umbrellas you can rent for three dollars. The downside to the resort is the rooms. I paid $200 per night for myself and sister and the room was so small we could barely fit two large suitcases in. The room is painted a drab brown and there was a small stain on the sheet. The towels werent thick but very thin. Disappointing. Overall I had a great time though.
