Absolutely happy with the stay the room was more like an apartment and had lots of space and it was perfect for me and my girlfriends stay in Toronto

The main problem was the temperature. I like it cool when I sleep. The room was 81F degrees, although it was not that warm outside. The AC was off system wide. There was a ceiling fan, but I didn't know how to turn it on; it was very late and we were very tired. . The concierge did show us the next day, but it still wasn't cool. She was kind enough to move us to another room, and it was slightly cooler. The carpet in that room was worn out. The shower water was only lukewarm, cooler than body temperature. The first room had a nice deep bathtub, with really hot water and plenty of it. There was coffee and tea in the room, which was great. The window opened, which was nice. In retrospect (always 20/20) we should have stayed in that room. On a positive note, we got in late. The hotel is easy to get to on the subway, about 2 blocks away. The manager attended to us right away. The bar was still open, and we were able to get some really good food. They have Guiness on tap, which was a real treat, since that's next to impossible to find where I live. They have some good local beers, like 3 speed lager. The fish & chips was super good; I mean perfect. They have a wonderful coleslaw that contains some red cabbage, but not over powering like red cabbage can be. The beef on my husband's hamburger was just OK, so I wouldn't recommend the hamburger. Overall, I would probably stay there again, if I could get a room like the first one that was cool enough to be able to sleep well.
