Tamarama<\/strong>
\nSydney\u2019s most glamorous sunbakers grace the delightful beach of Tamarama. Golden cliffs protect the small cove and a grassy park at the rear of the beach makes for the perfect setting for a beer and a barbie with mates. Ok the rip is ridiculously strong here, and the surf is strictly for the professionals, but you\u2019ll have fun splashing in the waves making eyes at the beautiful people.

\nHow to get there?<\/em><\/strong> Hop on a bus from Circular Quay (333 or 380) or Bondi Junction (361 or 381) and make the 10 minute stroll from Bondi Beach.

\nCamp Cove<\/strong>
\nTucked at the far end of Watsons Bay peninsula is a beautiful, harbour-side beach framed by multi-million dollar homes, with equally multi-million dollar views across the water to the North Shore\u2019s leafy parkland. Go here on a weekday and you\u2019ll often be the only person on the beach. And if you\u2019re feeling a little daring you can wander to the next cove along for some naked time at the nudist beach. Oo-er\u2026<\/p>\n

\nShelly is Manly\u2019s most intimate cove, a short stroll from the beach-burb\u2019s main surf beach. Mix with the local crowd and don your snorkel to catch some underwater marine life in the protected reserve. Plus, as a western facing beach Shelly is a great sun trap stretching those summer evenings even longer.

\nHow to get there?<\/em><\/strong> Catch the Manly ferry from Circular Quay and make the 15 minute stroll from Manly Wharf to Shelly.

Palm Beach<\/strong>
\nPalm Beach is a looker. It\u2019s a beach we\u2019re all familiar with from its Home and Away fame. And the view along the huge stretch of orange sand up to the lighthouse is impressive first hand. We challenge you to look distantly into the crashing surf and channel your inner Home and Away \u201cself-discovery\u201d moment. Or alternatively go for a dip, trample the sand-dunes and enjoy a long lunch at The Boathouse. Sigh! Summer (bay) bliss.

Bondi<\/strong>
\nOk-ok, you can\u2019t have a top five list of Sydney beaches without including the iconic Bondi Beach. It\u2019s a fave of surfers, drowning backpackers, hunky life savers, TV celebrity vets and yummy beach babes. Make like the local Bondi folk and head to the north end of the beach for calmer waters and panoramic views from the grassy knoll. And come the late afternoon hit up the beachside bars for a sundowner with a view. We\u2019re not sure life gets any better.<\/p>\n
