Tell us about an average day in the life of Tim Ross?
\n<\/strong>I love my mornings with my family, I make my son Bugsy breakfast and try and let my wife Michelle get a little sleep in. Then we might go to the park or Bugsy comes to the gym with me and then around 11.30am I cruise into work and prep for the radio show.<\/p>\n

Most of the next few hours involves me walking around the office distracting people (yes, I\u2019m that guy).<\/p>\n

Around 3.30pm we head into the studio for the show and then we spend the next three and a half hours having the time of our lives (just like the song).<\/p>\n

Then it\u2019s home to see Bugsy just before bed and then we\u2019ll have dinner. Pretty normal old day.<\/p>\n

How much travel is involved with your work? What destinations has your job taken you to?
\n<\/strong>I love travelling for work. Over the years it has taken me to Thailand, the US, London, NZ and more recently all over Australia.<\/p>\n

What were your holidays like as a kid? <\/strong>
\nThey were very low key, very local but they are treasured memories. Mum and Dad relaxed, we played cards and we enjoyed each other\u2019s company.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your favourite holiday? <\/strong>
\nMy wife and I took our son Bugsy to Hawaii last year, it was so special to have two weeks of family time.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

What is your number one piece of travel advice?<\/strong>
\nTake hand luggage whenever you can.<\/p>\n

What is the strangest thing you\u2018ve ever seen or done when travelling?
\n<\/strong>I spent eight hours drinking at the bar with a bunch of randoms on a Virgin flight home from the UK. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came out someone handed me a beer and then eight hours later my wife came looking for me.<\/p>\n

Where is your favourite spot in Australia for a getaway?<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s so many. I love Hobart. It is the perfect weekend destination. Great food, amazing history, clean air and MONA is brilliant.
\nI also recently went to Alice Springs and I absolutely loved it. The outback is so addictive and Kings Canyon is certainly in my top five Australian experiences.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

How do you pass the time on flights? Any must-have carry-on items? <\/strong>
\nSleep if it\u2019s a short flight but I do love a movie and a glass of red on a longer flight.<\/p>\n

Packing: do you roll, fold or shove it all in there? Any tips to share?
\n<\/strong>I shove. My tip is to let my wife pack. She is amazing at it.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

Where is next on your travel wish list?<\/strong>
\nI want to travel across the US seeing every iconic modernist house built in the 20th Century.\u00a0That is my dream.<\/p>\n
