\n\"<\/a>Congratulations on winning The Voice! Did you ever imagine in your wildest dreams you\u2019d be crowned this year\u2019s winner?<\/strong>
\nIts something you, well, I could always picture, but there is a lot of hard work in between it all, and finally getting there was just amazing.
\nTell us what it was like to work closely with your mentor Seal?<\/strong>
\nTo work with such an amazing artist, but also such an amazing person was just simply fantastic. He was so keen to see me succeed and that was one thing that really pushed me every week – his incredible self belief in me and my future. We\u2019re planning to catch up with him in LA while I\u2019m here.<\/p>\n

What does an average day look like for you now?<\/strong>
\nVery busy! But lots of fun. My career, singing, it is what I am most passionate about more than anything else in the world. To have the chance to do what I love is just the most meteoric feeling.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

What are your top tips for visitors to your home town of Melbourne?<\/strong>
\nDefinitely take a walk through the smaller side streets and try the caf\u00e9s. There are lots of hidden surprises in Melbourne, so go exploring. Oh, and bring a jacket\u2026 even if it\u2019s 30 degrees!<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

You\u2019re embarking on a national tour in September. Where are you most looking forward to visiting?<\/strong>
\nI think the question should be where aren\u2019t I looking forward to going! To have the opportunity to visit so many different cities around Australia is fantastic. I cannot wait to get out there. I recently went on a Westfield personal appearance tour and, although there wasn\u2019t very much down time, getting to spend some time in Perth and Adelaide was great \u2013 they\u2019re both really nice cities. And you can\u2019t beat Sydney \u2013 I\u2019m glad to have the opportunity to spend more time there.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your favourite holiday?<\/strong>
\nMy favourite holiday would have to be when I visited Japan in 2009. I stayed with a family and the cultural experience was amazing, it was just so different to home and I have never had more fun in my life.<\/p>\n

What is your favourite hotel?<\/strong>
\nCrown Casino<\/a> in Melbourne is fantastic, and the staff are always helpful. I love staying there.<\/p>\n

How do you pass the time on flights? Any must-have carry-on items?<\/strong>
\nHmmm, definitely music, my noise cancelling headphones, and sometimes my iPad to pass the extra-long flights overseas. So handy having so much technology at your fingertips!<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

What is the strangest thing you\u2018ve ever seen or done when travelling?<\/strong>
\nI would have to say that having to clean the school in Japan when I was there for a homestay was quite different to being in Australia. It was nice to see how disciplined yet balanced everyone was.

Which celebrity would you most like to find yourself sitting next to on a long haul flight?<\/strong>
\nI think definitely Robert Downey Jr. He is one of my idols and it would be great just to meet him and just chat.<\/p>\n

Where is next on your travel wish list?<\/strong>
\nWell, I\u2019m currently in America which I\u2019m so excited about \u2013 it\u2019s been on my wish list for a long time. I\u2019m here recording for my next album so there hasn\u2019t been a lot of down time but I have managed to sneak in some shopping. I love everything about travelling to new places \u2013 it\u2019s the chance to see new places and meet interesting people who have had different experiences than I\u2019ve had so you\u2019re always learning and opening your mind. I\u2019d love to see the world, and with the goal of becoming an international recording artist that is definitely a possibility. I feel seriously lucky!<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n
