The death of Edmund, King of the East Angles, at the hands of the Danes in 869 led to the building of an abbey to house his remains. No AC and room was so hot, no lift and had a heavy suitcase and lots of stairs, room service menu limited, missing items that I had to ask for. Room furniture old and dated, bad smell when you opened your room door. Would not stay again.
