The cosy ground floor living area is the perfect spot to unwind, complete with a large stone fireplace with a wood burning stove for colder evenings (in addition to full central heating). A hand-carved mahogany staircase leads to the first-floor Victorian-style bathroom, featuring a luxuriously deep slipper bath and an original Thomas Crapper toilet cistern—testament to the tower's attention to period detail.On the second floor, the bedroom is a true showpiece, with a grand Elizabethan-style, king-size four-poster bed, richly carved and full of character—an ideal setting for a romantic retreat.Built around 1822, the tower and its associated features were designed by Lord and Lady Bamford Hesketh alongside renowned architect and theorist Thomas Rickman. The ground floor still showcases one of Rickman's original gothic cast iron windows, while the original wooden front door bears faint carvings of historic sailing ships—possibly etched by Napoleonic prisoners of war.Painstakingly restored by the current owners in collaboration with Conwy's conservation team, the tower retains rare architectural elements including a camber-headed doorway and an original bread oven.
