At first there was no hot water, but later the manager got warm water to run. There was no shaver point in the bathroom and no hooks to hang, eg toiletries bag. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was lumpy, so overall not as good as expected. On booking I had expected B&B but when we got there we were told no breakfasts were included. I was not happy about that either.

Provided with an ‘accessible’ room which was not requested. I find it difficult to believe this would be good for wheelchair users given the configuration of the toilet handrails etc and the bathroom door. . sink was too low and small for general use ie aimed at wheelchair users but very small. Shower cold and covered in long hairs. Room spacious but uncomfortable. Service unfriendly, you felt like an inconvenience when eating or drinking in restaurant/bar. Convenient location.

Room allocation errors

Booked a twin room weeks in advance. Allocated a double room. Contacted reception and reallocated a twin. The twin was a room for disabled. Bathroom shower toilet etc. It was really suitable for able bodied eg sink very low for shaving etc. We’ve stayed se real-time said previously with no problems. Reception seemed a bit under pressure when we booked in which might explain error.

Menu

The.only thing I would advise is to make the menu sound more appetising. Beef pie, cabbage and potatoes doesn't grab me. Also, the pie was fine but the plates were overwhelmed with potatoes, peas and cabbage, far too much and a lot must go to waste!
