I liked the property but they nickel and dimed me. The Expedia app has no price change from one guest to two guests. Yet if you show up with your wife, like I did, I was charged an extra $70. And after spending a week there and paying for my mini bar items, $8, a clerk ran and got me out of the airport shuttle to make sure I paid for the extra Fanta from the night before. As for the airport shuttle, I’ve never been asked to pay for one at any hotel. I was told it was free only one way. So since I took it from the airport, I had to pay $8 to get to the airport. Lastly I went 7 days without a hot shower in Rm 222 and endured a barking dog in Rm 223 for the duration of my trip. The area felt safe but I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to. The vendors and the beggar’s aggressively singled out the one American in my group, me. Overall a nice hotel, recently built, good security team, friendly staff, and located in the heart of everything.

We were given a room different from what we originally booked, and it was clearly too small for two grown women. Despite this, we managed to make it work. The location is fantastic, and the staff were friendly, although there were moments when service could be improved. Overall, a decent stay, but the room size and booking accuracy could use some attention.

Good location but room too noisy

Nice location on the busiest street in Accra but the acoustics were very bad with a lot of noise outside and from reception. Staff were a little indifferent and it was expensive for Ghana.

Conveniently located in busy are close to shops, restaurants, pubs. I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially when I left my phone in an Uber. The helped me to track the uber down to retrieve my phone. I am so grateful to everyone at Urbano. When I come back to Ghana I am definitely staying here again.

Wow! This property was literally centrally located, like right in the middle of fine dining and street food, shopping on the street or in shops, transportation and you even have a “7/11” directly across the street! The staff was very helpful and my room was tiny, but clean. The small was big enough for a single person. I would stay there again.

Found customer service very poor. I experienced (3) issues; asked to speak to a manager and received a weak "sorry" nothing done to erradicate their issues. The apology felt forced and ingenuine. 1. Debit Card left with staff accidentally and no one contacted me; it was upon my discovery that I found it was missing and had to reach out to hote. 2. Security allowed a local into the building. He joined me in the elevator; got off my floor and pushed for my contact information. I felt very unsafe. 3. Items removed from room at time of cleaning and never contacted me. I called hotel; went to retrieve items and staff could not retrieve. No one knew where it was. I waited until the next day; had to contact hotel AGAIN. I was then inconvenienced to return to said hotel after moving to a new place. I asked them to deliver after all my concerns and they refused. I reported all of this to the manager. Her facial expression never changed when explaining it all and she simply said "sorry". It was very unapologetic. I then asked to be contacted and the same manager simply sent me a text saying again "sorry". No accountability; no consequence, no refund, no offer for additional stay, wouldn't even deliver items that they were clearly trying to keep. Horrible experience. I moved to another hotel nearby - much better customer service and attention to detail.

The property was super convenient even though the ladies of the evening were all over Oxford St. Stuff was super pleasant and acomodating, facility was super clean, loved my room... areas of imporovement for me was to vend espresso coffee as it is hard to find strong coffee in Accra. Last but not least, I rated the hotel one less start due to an evening where the power in my room kept going out where the stuff finally allowed me to spend the night in a different room which disturbed my sleep. I will strongly suggest for others to stay at Urbano and plan to stay there again should I visit Accra again.

DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE! I was mis-sold a Duplex room which was meant to have 1 x Queen bed and 1 x Double Sofa bed, upon arrival the "welcome" was abrupt, rude and she could not have been less enthusiastic. The room has been changed compared to their photos online and as you can see from my photos the sofa bed is no longer there, it is literally just a sofa, which you can't sleep on. I was told to simply move the sofa cushions and sleep on the floor!! They didn't even hide the fact that the "sofa bed" wasn't a bed, because upon entering the room it didn't even have any bedding. Whilst I was offered a twin room, this room is not the same as a duplex and I would not have been granted any refund for the difference...so that'd be a no thanks. I literally checked out because there was other issues including: - Bathroom window was broken and could not be closed meaning the temperature was 35 degrees - Bedroom windows were not soundproofed and being on Oxford Street you can hear EVERYTHING so good luck if you'd like to sleep - The hotel is directly underneath the flight path of the nearby airport which was very loud due to the issue with no soundproofing The most shocking thing is that nobody, not one review so far seems to mention that this place is in the middle of a red-light district. When you leave the hotel door you'll approached by MANY prostitutes, hawkers and beggars who will follow you and demand money without taking no for an answer.
