Hotel is quite old and has lots of character which makes walking to your room difficult with luggage as lots of stairs up and down. Rooms are decent size but odd as sink to wash up is outside the bathroom. Parking was around the backside of the hotel and access off a different street. Front desk and breakfast was great! Overall didn’t like the bathroom.

The desk clerk, fresh back from college, would say things like “Don’t put the bags there! I need to tag them so they don’t get confused” (I was standing with them and wasn’t moving) and “You reserved by internet so you don’t get breakfast” (huh. The room is now booked bc of the internet. How odd to discriminate) And She left out salient details about the room which took time and effort to resolve. Once past the front desk, the stay was fine.

Lovely old hotel. The room was lovely and quiet. The window opened for fresh air. Close to the castle. A very walkable area. Good restaurant, large portions ( I couldn't finish dinner or breakfast), lovely staff.

This was a great day! The only reason I'm giving it less stars, is the fact that I am a digital nomad so I specifically choose places that say that it has good Internet. The Internet here was absolutely horrible. I count on Internet in order to complete my work for my job, and I did not have Internet for two whole days while I was here. I called down to the front desk multiple times, and it was never resolved. If you need Internet, this is probably not the best place to stay. Other than that, it was very convenient as far as location.

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. About 100 meters or so from the castle. Lots of dinning issues within a very short walks. Room was nice, very clean and well stocked. Only issue could be number of stairs.

Needs an elevator

The entire hotel has stairs - to reception, to bar, to rooms, parking had the listing stated boldly no elevator we would have stayed elsewhere—staff is wonderful, hotel is clean, no wash cloths or hand towel in bathroom only 2 bath towels and we booked a king room and got 2 twin beds— not great for a 25th wedding anniversary trip
