On arrival the apartment was very clean and we were very happy. The apartment is well equipped, we cooked in the apartment many times with no issues. The beds are very comfy, parasol and chairs egg to use for the beach along with cool boxes etc.
The location is very quiet which I liked. 15 minute walk to the marina but part of the road does not have a path and can be dangerous with children. Walking pack is ok but the last 5 minutes is steep. From the marina is another 15 minute walk but quite pleasant. Stop at the marina for a rest, to get to the strip is about another hour we only went once as enjoyed the old town more.
Tommys shop is 5 minute walk but very expensive, city bar next door is very cheap for drinks etc. You can carry on walking up the hill for more restaurants and another mini market. The local beaches are stunning, we visited sao Rafael, arrifes, caelho and castello. All beautiful and have a restaurant which are quite expensive.
Access to the pool is through the on site restaurant which we found intruding especially when people were eating etc.
The apartment block is overall very quiet and peaceful, there are 2 dogs on a lower floor which constantly bicker and yap, this did not bother us but mentioning as it can bother some.
We had many peaceful nights relaxing on the balcony which we enjoyed. The water gets very hot so be careful with children leave it to run and settle for a few minutes.
We loved this location and area but if walking and being local to the night life if your thing maybe this isn't for you.
The owners are very responsive and we had to contact the agent once within our stay and the issue resolved within 15 minutes. The gas bottle has run out.
For the price we thought this apartment was outstanding and would stay again.
We used uber which was very cheap and reliable, the most expensive trip was to zoo marine for 10euros, much cheaper than local taxis.
