Bathrooms need attention.
The staff were lovely and the location of the hotel is great, however the bathroom was in a bad condition. The tiles needed re-grouted as they were black in between. Horrible staining around the bath taps, and there was also a big crack in our bathroom floor which sank if you stood anywhere near it.
We were also in a room on the ground floor which was en route to reception/entrance and barely got any sleep due to people back and forth outside our door at all hours.
Our two day stay at the Hotel was excellent all Staff were very polite friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for you compliments to the Chef the food was excellent and a great variety there is also the Leisure facilities from the Hotel you can walk up to the Castle Cafes and Restaurants are nearby Loch Lubnaig and Callender are 25mins away from the Hotel
Absolutely amazing. Staff were friendly and polite. Wonderful views and a great location to do sightseeing. Lovely breakfast and even though i forgot my swimming costume your offered the use of the pool with times of opening and closing. A definite must to stay in the future
The Hotel was a former school and situated close to the Castle. It was walking distance to the town and several restaurants. We enjoyed a swim and sauna in the morning before stiing down to a wonderful meal with several options for everyone.

Converted Victorian school, staffed by students
The team working here lacked nothing in enthusiasm - but sadly lacked capability. The messaging about what were chargeable extras was inconsistent (still no idea if we were charged extra for a cot). The cot they brought had no mattress or even fitted sheet, and when I enquired about it they fixed it by wrapping a grey scratchy blanket around the cot base. Dinner service was very slow. And the bed was a bit like crucifixion. But, they were all very cheerful and friendly, so not a totally unpleasant stay.
Hotel was outdated, bathroom was noted to have a strong musty smell and black mold in the corners. Beautiful building, friendly staff centrally located.
Our hotel room was not clean. Cigarette left in window, windows dirty with cobwebs. Dust on desk and bedside cabinets.
Even old dirt on staircase to bedroom and again cobwebs in windows
The location was excellent for exploring Stirling and the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the decor was incredibly outdated and the bathroom tatty with rust around the taps and eroding grout. There was no central bedroom light, just a couple of side lights which added to the dark and gloomy feel. The spa was again clean but the changing rooms were incredibly old. The presence of a swimming instructor literally bellowing instructions at children destroyed any potential element of relaxation.

Average - needs updating
Leaking ceiling first night. Initially told the hotel was full so would I be happy to just have a bucket in the room. When I refused, a room was found. New room was ok - but tired-looking, ver poor shower and could hear the next room even though they weren’t being particularly loud.
