Compare Hotels with Parking in Alpena

The room I received when I checked in did not look anything like the picture. It was dark, dingy and smelled bad I checked out immediately, there was no way I could stay in that room it was nauseating. The picture you have on here is false advertising for this place the room did not look anything close to that picture. Luckily it turned out well I am getting a refund, I thought I could trust Expedia, but I am not sure now.

We had the unfortunate luck to stay at the Alpena Ramada during a disaster--major ice/snow storm! Due to this, it was impossible to keep the parking lot and sidewalks cleared. We also lost power for several hours, losing heat, etc. This hotel was the only hotel in the area that had a generator so for that we were lucky. We could charge cell phones, minimal use of microwave, and stay comfortable. The staff did everything in their power to accommodate their guests and did it with a smile. I hope to use this sight again when conditions are not so stressful.

This was the perfect place to spend a couple of wintery days with the dogs. I only used the downstairs but the kitchen was incredibly well equipped and the Ruko TV's in all rooms were much appreciated. I had a couple of questions during my stay and Jennie replied within minutes. (Make sure & visit the Marine Sanctuary Museum if you go)

Old Fashion and clean

Nice, clean, and private cottage. Only sad part was we never were able to try the restaurant because they never plowed/opened it. Not a good spot for on-site dining during the winter. Waterfront was also snowed-in and not plowed so we never got a good look at that either.
