We were very grateful to find this location on short notice. It was fairly comfortable inside. We loved the hot tub. The big yard is great for kids and dogs, but its not fenced, which was not a problem for us because our dog is not a runner. There was plenty of parking in the driveway for our truck and boat, but its not a diveway for rooky trailer drivers. It was also just two minutes from the shoreline boat launch, which was fantastic. The downside....it is a VERY rustic cabin. The cleanliness was average. The queen bed in one bedroom is on a super short bed frame. Great for kids, but taller adults might not like it. That bedroom also had an ant colony traveling up and down the paneling. We could also hear scratching in the walls/attic between the bedrooms at night. Rats would be my guess, but maybe bats? I dont know. Also, very low water pressure. For someone with long, thick hair, it did not make for a good shower. The host was responsive and kind, and I think this place has potential with a bit more TLC. My hubby said he would consider staying again if he was with one of his fishing buddies. Me and the kiddo are hesitant to go back unless we know it improves a bit. I took forever to write this review because we were so grateful to find something that worked on short notice and I dont like leaving poor reviews. But there is enough here that should be addressed I ultimately decided I should still share our experience, good and not so good.
