It was a bit confusing to find our way to our room . Since the doors to the rooms are inside the hotel and not on the outside. Some parts of the hotel are under renovation so there was some rooms we saw that were being worked on. The room we had was not up to date . Had holes in the bathroom door . AC wasn’t cleaned properly . Couldn’t figure out the tv we had to pull the dresser forward to plug it in and end up finding a sock behind the tv. Overall the price was decent , even though we couldn’t swim due to a party going on. We couldn’t hear the noise as much which was good but overall friendly staff.
Our stay was 'fine'. This is very clearly an older hotel that has been remodeled. The attempt was boutique-style but lacked execution. The common area & the bar are nicely done, but the rooms are mediocre.
It wasnt the same this time around. It seemed cleaner the last time I was there. The carpeting is getting worn. I stayed on the opposite side of the traffic last time so it was quiet. The room was cleaner, bigger, and nicer even with a king size bed. This time around however, in room 103, it was kind of a let down. The caulking in the bathroom sink had black mold. There was no hot water. Very tepid. There is no fan for the bathroom. The king size bed was okay. Good enough for one night. We had the hardest time trying to connect to the wifi so we could watch tv but the wifi either needs improvement or perhaps cable? But one of the ladies from the front desk kindly helped us with the connection for the Roku though. A big thanks to her. Upon check out we noticed the room next to ours in 102 had the laminated flooring instead of the carpeting. So im guessing all the rooms are different? I was so hyped to stay there, even bragged about it but was disappointed this time. We won't be going back. The room we stayed in looked like a last minute room you throw someone into to fill the quota for the day kind of thing. The employees are nice though. No chocolates on check out this time either. I thought that was a cute thing to do the last time.
Day before my advanced scheduled reservation received a call and was given the options to stay at Big Texan Motel or have my reservation cancelled. With short notice I took up on the offer, worse stay ever. Uncomfortable bed, noisy interstate and no amenities available like the Cactus cove. They still let me use the cactus cove amenities, however disappointing to see the rooms I've paid for to seem more comfortable then the one I stayed at. Cactus cove breakfast was not pleasing and pool was very gritty. Overall experience would not lead me to schedule another stay.
The staff greeted us and we felt welcomed. The room was spacious and clean. The room was quiet and within walking distance to Cracker Barrel! It was a great place to stay! I plan on going back when we make our summer trip to Colorado!

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Amenities for all ages.
There was a little trouble at the beginning, getting the room key to work. This is my second time at Cactus Cove Inn. I love what they’re doing with the place providing all the entertainment for people of all ages. I will say they’ve been under construction since December 2022 I guess that is because they are family instead of big business. Not necessarily a bad thing. Must fix the cornhole bags. The amenities alone will keep us coming back.
I feel like this place is a little hidden gem. You would NEVER know what you were gonna get from the outside of the building. The inside was so pretty and so much to do. The room was nice. Basic and what you need for a room. Beds were a little small and not quite comfortable but nothing that would make me not go back.
I was put in a room right across from the pool and there was a party going on at the time. Kids were running around and knocking on people's doors... it would have been nice to be put in a room away from that but that was my only issue. I would stop here again!
Oh and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Lots of options. I wish there were a couple options for those of us who don't eat carbs without having to pay for the hot breakfast, but my family loved the variety they had to choose from!
