Great location, just in need of an update

The hotel is really in an amazing location. Easily walkable from the main train station and close enough to all of the attractions. Close to restaurants, while also having a reasonable and good restaurant/bar on their own. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. There is a lovely, spacious spa and turn-down service nightly. Only downfall is that this hotel is in need of a serious updating. The outside carpet has seen a better day. The rooms are worn, comfortable and a good size for Europe, but the sheets never stayed on the mattress, the mattress itself looked horribly worn. There was a huge rip in the sheer curtain. Clean, but outdated and just looked worn through and through.
