I had a very disappointing experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Amsterdam during my weekend stay.
At check-in, my room was not ready at the designated time, and despite multiple inquiries, the staff kept asking us to wait without providing any clear timeline. Meanwhile, other guests were being checked in without issue. After 45 minutes of frustration and having to argue with the staff, we were finally given a room.
On our second night, we requested a breakfast box since we had to leave early at 5:15 AM. The reception assured us this service was available. However, when we checked out the next morning, the staff claimed they were not informed, and as a result, we missed our breakfast due to their miscommunication.
Overall, this was a terrible experience. The lack of professionalism and coordination among the staff was unacceptable. I will never book this hotel again, and it severely damages the Holiday Inn brand.
