Lovely hotel in Amsterdam center

This is a stunner of a hotel right in the center of Amsterdam with canal views. Lovely room and bar/lobby. The rooms were gorgeous with high ceilings and plenty of space. Nothing but positive feedback and highly recommend staying at the MAI.

Hotel Mai is wonderfully situated a short walking distance from the central train station and the cruise port along one of the canals. There are lots of dining options within a five minute walk. It is the perfect base when visiting Amsterdam.

About 2 blocks from the Red Light District and it was so very quiet and peaceful. I couldn't believe it. So close to everything, restaurants, shops, and train station. The room was lovely. Big for European standards and the shower was large with nice HOT water with great water pressure. It was in May so weather was hot and cold but AC worked lovely, the room was always at a perfect temperature. Front desk were accomadating and very kind all the time, didn't matter who was there, they were all very friendly and willing to help and guide. Loved our stay!

During our 2 weeks in Europe we stayed in 4 hotels in 3 cities. By far this was the best hotel we stayed at. Easy access to the train, shopping and entertainment. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel and room was immaculate.

So the Hotel was nice and everything but the lighting in the room was very dark. They also charge me for an extra bed for my girls even tho I have one of the big rooms. They said it is a not a double bed room but it is one of the big rooms and it was but they still charge me for an extra bed. Staff was nice and friendly but I would really like them to have extra lighting in the room. My wife is a make up artist and she said the lighting is very minimal.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Mai

A fantastic boutique hotel in a quiet location with lovely canal views yet so close to all the hotspots in the central area. Executive Double Canal view room was spacious, clean and comfortable with big windows overlooking the canal The only things the room lacked was wardrobe / storage space - this wasn't an issue for me as a solo traveler for 2 nights but may not be ideal for a couple on a longer stay - and towel hooks in the bathroom. Loved everything else - comfortable bed, good lighting, good coffee machine. Very friendly and helpful staff with efficient check-in and check-out. The Honesty Bar next to the lobby is a nice touch, good selection and reasonable prices for a quiet drink at the end of a busy day Highly recommend Hotel Mai for a stay in central Amsterdam - good value for the quality and the location

Location location location, was great, just 5 mims to central station. The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful, five star service. The only thing I didn’t like, was the quality of the bed mattress and the pillows, it was too soft to my likeness. Overall I would definitely recommend it.
