Absolutely recommend, large spacious room, new facilities, even a hair straightener in the bathroom. View is ok, ocean and buildings. Comfortable bed, microwave in room and extra food and cooking amenities located on level 1 along with coin laundry. Free drinks alcoholic and coffee on ground floor, some free snacks also. Rooftop terrace is lovey, has gas fire pits. Onsen is excellent also. Highly recommend this hotel.

The room was modern, clean and well-furnished. Very comfortable with a lot of room - including a dining area. Was not expecting the free drinks bar! That's a very big perk. Generally good for holiday or work-travel.

Room was by far the most spacious on our trip. Probably one of my favourite hotel experiences anywhere. The Onsen was like a 5 star hotel, and the free drinks and snacks were of high quality. My only issue was that I could not register with the vending machine app because my country was not listed. Atami is a great base to explore hakone, Fuji.

this hotel was amazing! there are no staff, so you need to be able to check yourself in and out, and make sure you have the door entry codes to access the building. but the spa space was incredible, there were free snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) in the lobby. super clean, big rooms, and steps from the beach. would come back

Terrible check in process. Was supposed to have a code emailed to me to access the front door since there is no front desk. Never got it, even as I write this 7 days later I still have no communication from them. Thankfully a nice guest let us in after we wandered around Atami for 2 hours. We had to check in on an iPad, and that was awful too. Again, information that they should have sent me already was not in my inbox so I had to call a virtual assistant and check in took nearly 20 minutes when it would’ve been much easier to just have a front desk person. I understand that being a foreign tourist there might’ve been some difficulties, but all the Japanese tourists were in the same boat we were. So that’s on the hotel. And it’s really a shame, the hotel was beautiful. Spotlessly clean, nice amenities and pretty rooms. But my god, build a front desk.

Unclear how the hotel operates before booking

This is a “virtual” hotel - no front desk; no staff at the hotel to communicate with you - all done via a tablet. While we settled in, more UPFRONT description of the property and how it functions, is necessary. We did not get fresh towels or room cleaning between days and that information is imperative to convey in the description of the property. The “snacks” staff were nice and the ofuro clean. Just please communicate more clearly before a reservation is made.

Lovely spacious room with small kitchen area. The Onsen was very peaceful. The "Free Flow" bar was generously stocked. Sadly the weather meant the rooftop terrace was closed but I'm sure that would have been lovely too.
