There is an emphasis on Conferences at the Wyndum Grand. Staff are busy so we had issues trying to get a kettle that worked. Room was nice.

I booked the Athens Grand Wyndham to stay after getting off the my Cruise to continue to celebrate my birthday in Athens. Arrived after a long day in Athens sightseeing. I was told that there were some water leaking problems at that Wyndham and they needed to change me to Athen Residence across the street.We had plans to attend Dinner in the Sky that evening and was rushed for time. Once checked in and unpacked, went to shower and found the pictures enclosed in the shower. There was mold all over the ceiling in the shower. This is a health hazard.Tried to call the manager downstairs, to no avail. After getting dressed,went downstairs to talk to manager. She only wanted to offer me a meal and drinks.I asked for compensation.Told them I would think about it, pressed for time. Returning it was late. Desk clerk stated that she would try to change my room the next day and gave me a coupon for meal and drinks. Next day did not hear from anyone about changing my room. Took the coupon to the restaurant and the service was horrible. No one waited on me until after I spoke up.They were all just standing around doing NOTHING!!. I WOULD NEVER COME OR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO NO ONE!! I am a Realtor and Nurse that have friends that travel a lot. I also travel frequently, so I am always giving recommendations .Wyndham will be blackballed as well as placed on every Social Media platform for how they treat their customers and people in general.I will pursue this unfairness and health risk!!

My son got bitten by bedbugs from a rollaway bed and we moved four times because the air condition was not working the first night. We had to sleep with the windows open and listen to the loud sounds of the street finally on the second day, they put us in a suite after moving for a fourth time. The staff was lovely obviously the front desk was not at fault for the air issues or the bedbugs. Without those serious issues, I would’ve given it an average rating. I thought the rates were pretty high for outdated worn out furniture and carpets in all of the rooms. I expected so much more for a Wyndham, but learned they are independently owned. Horrible way to kick off our vacation.

Overall, the best part about the hotel was the staff. They were super kind and accommodating. The parking staff started to recognize me and would be quick to get my car from the garage. I was disappointed that when I first arrived my room was a little dirty. The bathroom counters had soap marks on them and there were some dirt marks on the walls. I was worried about the area after reading several reviews and I wouldn’t recommend walking to the restaurants or shops after dark but it wasn’t as bad as the reviews I read described. I will say that there are other hotels in the area that might give you more for your buck but this one was definitely a safe choice. I was disappointed by the size of the gym. It was important to me to have a gym with equipment and weights, which this one was lacking.

Pleasant modern hotel popular with groups. Great roof top views. Breakfast and cocktail hour were busy with inadequate staff to serve and oversee. Surrounding area is rather seedy, but there were two great local restaurants nearby. We tended to get Uber into The Acropolis area.

Terrible cleanliness and disappointing housekeeping. I did not want to believe the poor reviews but after witnessing this on my own I can tell that it was very sad to confirm the state of the rooms. The shower had mold build up on the edges of the glass walls. Mold and dust were noticeable present on the room walls. Dust was visible on several surfaces. The fitness center was very poorly maintained and it was extremely hot.

Overall, I was disappointed. Not worthy of the price point. The staff was accommodating. The servers were excellent at the roof-top bar and restaurant. The hotel itself was very basic. Carpeting was dirty. Rooftop pool was nice, water extremely cold. I feel that every time I book through Expedia we get a room that’s sub-par. It was dusty and small. It faced a parking lot, but with a Nice mural (pictured) The restaurant across the street was the best thing about it. My opinion, book a hotel near Plaka. Same price range, nicer hotels and a much nicer area.

I had issues with getting a kettle when the one in my room did not work. Also had to ask for toilet paper after room had been cleaned. Tissues not replaced either.most staff seemed to be unsupervised trainees who were not able to assist. Seems more focused on Conferences than tourists.
