HAD BOOKED A TOUR OF AUKLAND ON VIATOR AND THEY PICKED UP AT THIS LOCATION. NEARBY TO CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL (APPROX 20 MIN DRIVE). FELT GOOD VALUE. HAD WONDERFUL BREAKFAST BUFFET INCLUDED WITH ROOM. CLEAN. I HAD ACCIDENTALLY LEFT MY CELL PHONE IN THE HOTEL SAFE ON DEPARTURE AND HOUSEKEEPING HAD IT SECURED WITH RECEPTION FOR MY SAFE KEEPING.

I stayed at the same Holiday Inn property, but in Queenstown and it was absolutely wonderful and clean. Though they have a cleanliness promise when I arrived at the one in Auckland, the cleanliness of the shower was absolutely disgusting. In fact, I went down to the front desk and told them about the slime all over the floor of the shower as well as all the greasy face and nose prints on the window and asked that they be cleaned. Absolutely nothing was done about either thing after my room was attended to. Again, I told the front desk the next day, but I told them that I had ruined a washcloth because I took it upon myself to clean the floor of the shower because it was so disgusting. I can happily send the picture of the filthy washcloth. I’m just astounded that nothing was done and I was not contacted at all by housekeeping or anybody from the office. I find this truly amazing, especially with their cleanliness pledge posted everywhere I would not stay at this particular hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Short sightseeing stay.

Spent 6 nights here having arrived from Ireland. The Hotel is very central and just off one of the main shopping street of Queens Street and 10 minute walk down to the ferry port and The Viaduct area. Ok, the bed was a bit hard and the breakfast limited but for the price and location well worth it. Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Good price, great location

Great location. We had top floor (19th) with a view of the bay. Nice breakfast in the morning ( included for ALL guests). I', not sure why we paid an "up-charge" to include breakfast? For some reason, our room had numerous moths (more than ten), and we were constantly getting out of bed to swat them. We were offered an early arrival room upon check in. nice touch!

Friendly, helpful staff; Clean room and facilities; Great breakfast; Good sized clean room with fridge and microwave; Great location, Great view, Taxi's right out front of hotel; Lots of shops, grocery stores and restaurants close. Didn't like: how the bathroom door served as a combo for the shower and door to bathroom & we had a room with a "connecting" door; do not get this unless you're sharing with family or friends; the person in the other room was very ill and we could hear coughing and other unpleasant sounds.
