Vista Mar is set in the heart of Rocky Bay, one of Waiheke’s most peaceful and welcoming seaside communities. Across the road, a walkway leads directly to the beach where families can enjoy safe swimming, gentle coastal walks, and afternoons spent exploring the shoreline. The area offers plenty to keep everyone entertained, with a tennis court, pickleball court, and pétanque nearby, as well as easy access to the island’s vineyards, cafés, and walking distance to the Omiha Memorial Hall for a weekend coffee, plus scenic walking trails. It is an ideal spot for families wanting both relaxation and activity, all within a tranquil bayside setting.

The Space:
Designed with families in mind, Vista Mar combines comfort and convenience in a relaxed island style. The home features two well-appointed bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a covered indoor-outdoor fireplace perfect for gathering together in every season. Large windows and outdoor living spaces, including a balcony and patio, invite guests to soak up sweeping sea views while enjoying a meal on the BBQ or simply relaxing in the fresh coastal air. Modern touches such as wireless fibre internet, stereo, heatpump, and a dishwasher make your stay seamless, while the warm, welcoming atmosphere ensures you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Pets are welcome on request, making this a truly family-friendly retreat where lasting holiday memories can be made.

Things to note:
Bed Configuration: Bedroom 1 - queen bed; Bedroom 2 - bunk bed
Additional fees: A compulsory charge of $240 applies to each stay for exit cleaning. and a compulsory linen fee of $25 per person, per stay. Beach towels can also be hired for $7.50 per person, per stay.
Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and mid January, 3 nights all holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times.

Pets can be accommodated on request.

At Stay Waiheke we offer a wide range of services for guests in residence including provisioning, transport/tours, private chefs, child minding and housekeeping. Advance bookings recommended.

The Neighborhood:
Waiheke Island is known for its stunning beaches, scenic coastal walkways, and world-class vineyards and restaurants.

Getting Around:
Waiheke Island is 20km long. Our properties are mainly located in the first 10km. Taxis are available but can be expensive. Regular bus services operate around the island.

Other Things to Note:
TV with Netflix is available, but guests must have own Netflix log-in.

Interaction with Guests:
Our team is available 7 days a week 8:30 am to 5pm for guests and for emergencies after hours.
