Compare Hotels with Parking in Balikpapan

The room was great, clean, spacious and well maintained. However the rest of the hotel was poorly maintained with dirty areas, especially the carpark and hallways.

The check-in and check-out process was very easy and fast without a deposit. The FO gave me a room with a nice view, the sea and the pool. The room was clean, the AC was cold, the shower was very strong. but now they don't provide bar soap, shower cap, toothbrush in the bathroom but when you check in, they will ask for this and if you need it, they will give it to you. everything is ok, only the security in front of the lobby door must be alert if guests bring a lot of luggage. There is no need to ask whether they need help carrying the suitcase or not. I think it's better to just help directly without having to ask. Novotel Balikpapan, January 5, 2026
