We really loved our stay. The rooms are beautiful. We especially loved the rooftop hot pools and fire table lounge area. The fridge in our room was not working unfortunately, but overall it was a great hotel, we would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

Check- in was easy, and the front desk staff was very helpful. They provided a transit pass for the duration of the stay, which made traveling back and forth around Banff simple and car- free; this is good because the vehicle and pedestrian traffic was a little heavy over the weekend. The whole place was obviously recently redone, and done well design-wise with a nice mix of modern and more traditional design. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice balcony view of the mountains to the west and a large bathroom that looked to be wheelchair accessible. The rooftop hot pools were great after a long day of hiking, and the staff had room service deliver a tasty treat since it was our anniversary. We had dinner in the restaurant on our anniversary, and again we were given special treatment; the food was great as was the service. They're located on the eastern edge of town, but we actually liked that as it felt a bit more like a refuge after a day of being downtown; and with the bus pass transportation was a non- issue. All in all, we had a great stay and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Great property. We stayed in a double room for 4 nights. Room includes a sink and fridge but no microwave. You can have one added if you ask. There's also no ironing board and heater standard, but hotel staff will provide one if requested.Having said that, the room is very clean and beds are super comfortable. Staff is also very friendly and acomodating. The location is also walkable to downtown. Stayed with our 10 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the hot pool.

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday. The Otter team went above and beyond to make it special. The hotel is really nicely designed, and everything is clean and fresh. Staff are very friendly and the hot rooftop pools are a really nice feature. Room was clean and had a great aesthetic and view of the mountains. It’s very walkable to downtown strip of Banff, at about 15 to 20 mins, great to burn off the good eating. Area is quiet next to the hotel and very accessible to get out and head to the various attractions like Lake Louise and Lake Minnewaka. Amazing experience, will definitely stay again.

This was such a great property and comes highly recommended. We are a family of four with two kids under age of 9. It’s on the edge of town so it’s quiet, has a fantastic restaurant onsite plus a great coffee shop next door. Easy to get around town using the bus or walking. We will return!

High praises! Great stay!

We loved our stay at The Otter and would definitely stay again. It’s very conveniently located close to downtown and right across the street from a bus stop (bus pass included with your hotel stay). Loved the room, the hot pools & gym, the restaurant…nothing but praises. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
