What a wonderful stay at the Carlton. Outstanding rooms, perfect location, friendly staff, excellent food, and a great chef by the name of Ming. I hope I got the name correct. We extended our stay for 2 more nights and after a 3 day trip to Hua Hin we have just re-booked the Carlton for our last 3 nights in Thailand. We will be back next year for sure.

This Carlton Hotel was clean, contemporary and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a lot of selection and was high quality. It’s located near a Skytrain and subway station and within a half kilometre from a few malls. It’s a busy area.

I will never stay at any of Carlton hotels again. I got there at 8 am and was first told that my room will be available at 10 am but then changed it to 12pm. To be sure that I won’t need to go back and forth, I left my luggage and went back at 1:30pm. Then, I was told that instead of one king bed, I will get two smaller beds. I told the staff that I am one person and ordered a king bed. I was told that they dont have such a room available and I needed to make my reservations on the hotel website and not on Orbitz.com. The hair dryer in the room didn’t fit the outlet in the bathroom and water was running in the toilet the whole night. The day after I asked to talk to the manager, PEAT (PISAMAI K.). She didn’t care about my complaint regarding the room type and said this is the way the hair dryer is. Also, she repeated that I needed to make the reservations on the hotel website. I asked that if so, why they have placed their hotel on the third party booking agencies. She had no answers and was quite rude. It is unfortunate that incompetent employees such as her work for such a large establishment. This is the last time I will ever stay at a Carlton hotels for sure. I don’t want to pay so much money and get treated this way!!
