For us this was a great location in a safe walkable neighborhood. Hotel was very nice business type hotel and showed its age in design (thinking 80's). Was out of the hustle of the El Pablado party zone, but an easy $2 Uber/taxi ride to get there. We stayed in one of the suites with the huge balcony. Suite was large and very comfortable. Staff was always rapid and efficient. Would stay here again for sure.

We were here for medical reasons, visiting a clinic for stem cell therapy. This hotel was perfectly located, had outstanding service and a very compassionate, care and service oriented team ready to help in any way they could. Their wait staff went above and beyond anything we've ever experienced. They knew I had some medical issues and were as kind and helpful and anyone could be. I cannot say enough about the gentle souls who helped me for the 9 days we were there. Thank you for everything! Room type - we had a suite with a living room. It was nice to have the double couches to rest. I would say the couches, while comfortable, could use upgrading due to wear, but satisfied our needs. If I had any suggestions for the room, it would be to provide better lighting in the living room area, with perhaps a coffee table in front of the two couches, and a side light on the end table near the couch. Lobby bar tenders were amazing, valet and front desk teams were also very helpful. Practice your Spanish! English is not widely spoken, but they try, as we did try our Spanish as well. Together - we muddled through LOL!. Loved Medellin! Loved the San Fernando Plaza Hotel, and as a tip - the mall down stairs has food court, ATM, and pharmacy. I can't thank the staff at San Fernando enough, for their help, compassion and service. Please remember to tip your service people - they work hard to please. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back! xo

Great hotel by American standards. Excellent resort pool area with food and bar service. Close to everything you want to see in the heart of Medellin and quiet. Walk to great shopping, restaurants and all the recommended tourist areas. On Sundays and holidays, Cyclovia is right outside of the hotel.

Desk staff is overly hyper about "visitors". Hotel bars are a joke. Frankly, the service staff-- maids, bellmen, etc. are among the best part of the hotel. I did not appreciate that hotel jacked up my rate upon my arrival. Stay here several nights two years ago. Much more pleasant experience then! It may be time to explore other options.

Upscale hotel and area within walking distance to shopping malls Santa Fe, Oviedo and many restaurants. Area is safe. Hotel pool was nice and buffet breakfast was good with many options, actually it was a brunch. Staff friendly and helpful
