Lovely hotel. However walk or take a taxi. We drove our rented car and the streets are narrow, one way and awkward in many ways. Work on roads in old Barcelona that is inaccurately reflected in Google maps made this substantially worse. Even driving close to drop off luggage was effectively impossible. Lovely hotel: just remarkably hard to drive to. Take a taxi

The best hotel-apartment.

The location is central to everything but it’s off the busy street. The hotel is absolutely amazing and was more of an apartment with an amazing view! Walking distance to the beach, Rambla, and many other popular locations. The staff was on point and service was the BEST!! I’ve been to Barcelona numerous times and will stay here from now on.

Amazing hotel and location!

The staff were so accomodating, friendly and professional. The hotel was right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter with so much history. There were restaurants, bars, and shops all around in walking distance. In addition, the hotel was a 5 min walk to La Rambla and La Boqueria. The hotel was like a mini apartment and had a stove, large fridge and everything you need to cook dinner in your room, if you wanted to. We were so happy with our choice to stay there.

Nicely appointed with rooms big enough for a family. The ability to cook breakfast was great considering a grocery store was a 2 minute walk. The front desk staff was very helpful. It is located in the middle of the gothic section and a walk from most attractions.

We had a wonderful vacation at Arai. It’s right in the beautiful Gothic quarter with lots of sights, shops, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. The room itself was beautiful with huge windows. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Great place to Stay in Barcelona

Great location- so close to everything, great service, and great convenience to have a Kitchenette. The only thing I'd change would be to offer a smart tv so if one would like to watch TV using their app sign on "like Netflix". Staff was amazing, and very helpful.

Sleepless in Arai Aparthotel

The hotel is quaint right in the Gothic quarter. The attendants were pleasant and efficient. The room was clean but the bed was not comfortable. The real problem was that our room faced onto a public square where partying went on until the sun came up. On our last night, Feb. 28, a woman was in the hotel literally screaming for hours. The police were called but the screaming continued. We called the front desk twice. Exhausted, upon check out we asked for some sort of compensation which was not offered. We were told the manager was not in and there has been no effort to contact us. Although it is easy to dismiss requests from international guests, they are not doing themselves any favours. If they had followed up with us, I would not be writing this poor review. So in conclusion, the property is pretty but if your plan is to sleep, choose another place.
