This hotel in Barcelona has great views and is overall a good property, but to me, it doesn’t live up to the luxury it claims. For the high price, I expected more in terms of service and overall experience. The location is good, but I wouldn’t call it great. It’s not a bad hotel by any means, but it didn’t feel worth the cost.

Sara at the front desk was exceptional. Our checked suitcase had been misplaced on our flight and we were told by the airport staff (nicely) that we would have to go back to the airport the next day to see if it hopefully arrived. We only had that next day as our one full day before our cruise. Thankfully Sara was able to get our suitcase delivered the next morning and we were able to pick it up at the front desk just after breakfast! It was such a relief and so appreciated that she helped us with this unfortunate circumstance during our 40th anniversary trip.

This stay was a very good one. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. Upon arrival and during check-in when I inquired about my medicinecontainer that had been left previously the male clerk listened, took extra steps to research my concern, made the appropriate calls and as a result I was able to retrieve my container and medication. His caring and attentiveness made all the difference in the world to me and my health at that time. Also, our assigned room, #529, was much brighter and more comfortable than #349 and we really appreciated it.

Overnight stay before cruise

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I keep getting emails so here it goes. Our two bed room was given to someone else that came in after us. This was reserved in advance. I explained I was not sleeping with my 45 year old son. The person who got our room had a young child. So we got a very nice room, but one bed, my son slept on a sofa bed. The walls were so thin, our neighbors kept us up until after 1 AM partying. It sounded like they were in our room with us. Security had to talk to them twice before they stopped all the noise.
