Perfect spot to relax with easy access to the city

Great hotel just outside of Barcelona, plenty of nice restaurants locally and around 5 Euro to get into the city and back by train (20 euro each way by taxi). Exactly as described with really nice views of the Marina and sea.

The welcome upon arrival was far from satisfactory, and the air conditioning unit in the room had a malfunctioning control. When I reached out to the reception for assistance, the staff member was unhelpful and abruptly ended the call, just thirty minutes after check-in. I attempted to address the issue in person, but no one was available to speak with me. The hotel's remote location offered little in terms of activities, with the metro station a fifteen-minute walk to the city center. On a positive note, the cleanliness of the room was commendable. However, when I requested two teaspoons, I was informed that there would be an additional charge, which is unusual for a hotel. Given these experiences, I would not consider staying here again, and I can only rate it two stars due to the cleanliness of the rooms. Staff welcome has been poor, all it takes is to put a smile on your face. This will make the guest feel more welcomed.

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel to stay at if you want a base just outside Barcelona. It’s very clean, has a great pool and pool bar area on the rooftop and a lovely view onto the marina. We were worried as the taxi drove us from the airport as the surrounding neighbourhood is under developed and appears quite unsavoury, but getting the metro to and from Barcelona was easy - we just didn’t fancy the walk back late at night so took taxis. There are a few places for food and drinks along the promenade but not the level of standard you can find in Barcelona. The city taxes were very cheap due to the location. We’d definitely stay here again, hopefully in a few years the surrounding areas will be better once they’re developed (there’s alot of construction going on at the moment)

Great stay!

Great stay - perfect for our needs. Right on the beach yet easy enough to get into the city. Metro about a 10-15 min walk and direct train to centre. Very cool vibe - my 18 year old daughter loved the hotel - we especially liked the roof top bar and pool. If you don’t have breakfast included and want to venture elsewhere there are beach cafes/restaurants within a 5 min walk that do good brunch (some are closed Mon and Tues - but not all). Rooms really nice, super clean, with fantastic sea/marina/beach view. Would be useful to have an airer to dry wet swimwear/towels as it’s tricky to get anything dry. Helpful and friendly staff. The railway runs behind the marina/hotel and building work currently ongoing in that area but couldn’t hear it at all. Good soundproofing in rooms - very quiet hotel. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to combine city break with time by pool/at beach. Will definitely try and return.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Marina Badalona. The staff were very nice and helpful specially with my husband’s phone which had been left behind at the hotel and they arranged a transport to get the mobile phone to us at the airport quickly. The location is just right at the beach and the breakfast was excellent. We definitely gonna stay in this hotel if we go back to Barcelona/ Badalona.

The infinity pool on the 14th floor is amazing and is open till 11:00 p.m., there's a beautiful bar and staff are lovely (most speak English so you should be fine if you don't speak Spanish) I do have a few complaints about the room that I stayed in which was the standard room, the windows were dirty so we didn't even have a nice view out. Although the view was pretty, there was dust and grime all over the windows. The windows didn't open at all so if we wanted fresh air that wouldn't be possible. The TV had YouTube which was amazing and worked beautifully. I'd definitely recommend it if it's in your price range, but if you really want to treat yourself, I'd say look elsewhere. I'd particularly recommend it to under 25s, but if you're over the age of 25, find somewhere that's a bit more expensive and a bit more Luxe. Also, this hotel isn't in Barcelona. It's in Badalona (so you're not directly near the city)
