Rip Off! We paid AUD $1,600 per night for an 18m2 room, with a Queen Bed that guaranteed we couldn’t open our suitcases. When Basel agreed to host Eurovision 2025, they could not have perceived of such financial exploitation. This Hotel has a great location, but dirty rooms and a disgusting breakfast. We will not be back!

Absolutely lovely hotel!

Amazing location, right next to the train station and right next to the bus stop for the airport bus. The room was absolutely fantastic and clean and I would definitely recommend staying here.

I’m an expat and every time I come home to Basel I stay here. It’s just a good old-fashioned grand hotel. Swiss hotel business at its best. People are super friendly, rooms are big, bathrooms are modern, spacious and nice and some rooms have nice balconies. Also great bar and breakfast. Cheap for what it is in my opinion! Love the Euler - long time tradition! I stayed in a junior suite with balcony and a deluxe double room with balcony. Both are superb. I’m a big fan of quality pillows and bedding and they have the BEST! Tram is right in front of hotel, easy walk to old town and shopping is open late inside the train station. It’s perfect!

It’s old world hotel business at its finest. Big rooms, nice balconies, excellent service. Plus tram in front of the door and late night shopping inside train station. It’s perfect.

A nice hotel which could have been good, but let down in certain areas Situated right next to the main railway station in Basel, which is also where the bus to the airport leaves from, it is therefore very convenient. The hotel also supplies you with a Basel card which gives you free public transport and discounts at some attractions. The rooms were large and clean and comfortable. Not the quickest housekeeping. I had left the “clean room now” sign on my door one morning and when I came back 5 hours later, the room was still not cleaned and then they wanted to come clean it while I’m resting. The biggest issue was breakfast. It was like a farce. The breakfast room was quite small, and there was only ever 1 staff member, who was always rushed off her feet. The containers that were meant to keep to hot food warm didn’t even manage lukewarm. The cups on the table were slightly too small for some of the coffee choices from the machine. At one point, when someone asked one of the kitchen staff if there was any way to heat up the food, she just shrugged her shoulders, it was very much “don’t know, not my problem”. They had pictures of celebrities who presumably had stayed in the hotel in the past in the breakfast room. I can’t imagine any of those would have put up with this poor show. It really marred what could have been a good stay.
