Welcome to our home away from home!
Blown Away is a riverfront location on the Pungo River just minutes from downtown Belhaven. Our house is located in the quiet subdivision of Norfleet shores. There are many activities that you can partake in while staying here such as boating, fishing, crabbing, kayaking (one is provided for you to use), antique shops, shopping, and dining. Enjoy a plush sandy bottom for comfort while tubing, floating and relaxing in the water just steps from the house. While relaxing on the wrap around screened in porch, take in tranquil views of dolphins, bald eagles, sailboats, and boat life on the Intercostal Waterway.
The town of Belhaven, a quick 15 minute drive, offers many unique dining and shopping experiences. If you prefer a different means of travel such as by boat, Behaven is a short, quick, scoot across the Pungo River. There is a convenient public dock to keep your boat while you dine and shop with the locals.
Not only do you have Belhaven close by, there is historic Bath to explore, and Little Washington to visit. If you are really wanting to explore all of what Eastern North Carolina has to offer, take a ferry ride from Bayview (10 minutes away) to the Aurora Fossil Museum (great for kids!) and visit Oriental( the sailing capital of North Carolina). For an all day trip, check out the Swan Quarter Ferry to take you to Ocracoke, or take a drive to the Outer Banks. Please check out our home on the Pungo River, we promise you will be "blown away!"

I can’t say enough about this beautiful home and the views. The home was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. Even though it was cold the fishing was good from the pier with them catching several red drum and a few others. We stayed inside where it was warm and still enjoyed excellent water views. The host were delightful and very quick in answering a couple of questions. We hope to come back in warm weather and take advantage of the outdoor amenities such as corn hole, kayak and other water toys. I highly recommend “Blown Away” for a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Quiet home away from home.

The house was very well kept with a beautiful view of the water. We were very happy to see that the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and spices. This helped us feel right at home with breakfast and dinner every night. We fished the dock for two days and ended up with 4 Red drum, 2 Flounder, 15 Trout, and 5 blue crabs. With the historic town of Bath not far away and Washington (NC) less than an hour away, there’s plenty to do in the surrounding areas but the house is just far enough away from all of the noise that it’s perfect for winding down after a busy day.

Nice and relaxing

Everything was as stated by the property owner. They were very responsive. The property grounds were beautiful and the home was welcoming. Our only complaint would be what the laundry detergent is that is used on the linen and towels. We are just sensitive to detergent with perfume. This is not something negative toward the property or owner though. Just a personal issue.
