"The Shack" - a very private self-catered, self-contained, weatherboard cottage set on a rural retreat of 80 hectares (200 acres) featuring cleared paddocks, dams, bush tracks and bushland expanses with no other dwelling on the property.
Neighbours - there are none within sight.
The Shack is off grid with rainwater tanks, solar panels and 12v battery bank.
Stove, hot water and fridge/freezer are powered by bottled gas.
Absolute serenity and just 3km to the quaint township of Bellingen.

The space
~ Open plan kitchen, dining, sitting and sleeping area with queen size bed.
~ Wood burner for those chilly days and nights.
~ Spacious veranda with 6 seat dining suite, sitting area and queen size day/night bed.
~ Well-equipped self-catering kitchen with standard size fridge, gas stove and gas hot water.
~ All tap water is rainwater and safe to drink.
~ The electrical system (lights and power) is 12 VOLT ONLY with solar panels and battery bank.
~ There is a 240-volt inverter that is provided to charge phones, computers and tablets - The 240v inverter DOES NOT have the capacity to power normal 240-volt household items such as hairdryers, shavers and blenders, power tools etc.
~ 12-volt TV and stereo.
~ Outside, open air, bathroom house with vanity, mirrored cabinet and hot shower - the water supply is from rainwater tanks only so please be water wise with showering and water use in general.
~ Outside, open air, flush toilet house with a great view over the property.
~ Undercover parking right opposite the front door.
~ Numerous bush tracks that can be walked, cycled (mountain bikes only) or driven (4wd only).
~ From the top of the eastern paddock you can sit and watch the sun set over the Dorrigo plateau.
~ The property has two dams - a small one in the eastern paddock that can be seen from the Shack and is used to water livestock then the big one (really big) on the bottom track with resident frogs, turtles and water dragons.

Guests have exclusive access to all areas of the Shack itself and the entire 200 acre property.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony. A kitchenette is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop.
