The person on the front desk who checked us in was fantastic. I didn’t get her name but she was as the only one there that I could tell. She went above and beyond to make us and our service animal feel welcomed. Fast, efficient, and friendly. The rooms were thoughtfully set up and very clean. Lots of power options. Although our room was by the ice machine and elevator, it was quiet.

The room was clean, the beds made, and towels readily available in the bathroom. There was an extra roll of toilet paper, and lotions, soap, and other toiletries were available for use. The room had a nice coffeemaker accompanied with a selection of morning-type drinks (coffee, tea). The room had more than an adequate outlets for computer, cell phone, and other electronic to keep them charged. The TV was quite large with a nice, crisp picture. The general decor in the room was tasteful. The staff were all cordial and helpful. They all seemed to keep busy but would stop to answer questions or assist with something. The parking was plentiful, and I was pleased with the welcome dogs received.

The best part about this hotel was the staff because they were incredibly helpful, courteous, patient and super informative about the area. The hotel and grounds were very clean and well kept, and it was easy to get to from the main highway.

I was originally going to leave a 1 star review, but the hotel was in excellent shape and I'm not 100% sure who is responsible for my problem. I've used Hotels.com dozens of times to get rooms. I always got exactly what I've ordered. After an exhausting day of driving I arrived at the hotel. When I checked in and went to my room, I saw it was a double queen room. I pulled up my reservation and it clearly showed I had a paid-in-full King room reserved. I went back downstairs and was told "you ordered a standard room" (which is what 80% of the hotel's rooms are). "We don't guarantee the type of bed comes with that type of room” I tried several times to get the woman at the front desk to look at my reservation on my phone to prove my point. She refused. She said "I go by what's in my computer and it doesn't specify a room". I went to my room and contacted hotels.com. In my chat they confirmed I had reserved a king room and sent me a copy of it. They told me they would contact the hotel. The hotel told them that the reservation they had said two queens (I was told by the hotel it didn't specify any room type). hotels.com said all they could do was apologize and that they would send me a small credit towards future purchases. Later my wife went back down and the front desk repeted there was no room type on the reservation. I'm not sure where the fault is, but I do know that reserving and paying for a king bed at this hotel does not guarantee you will get one.

I gave a 3 star rating for a previous stay because of being in rm 101, next to the noisy stairwell. This time, Rm 102, had no issues. So, which room you have matters. On the eco issue, the hotel tries, but people have no concept of recycling, so it all turns out a waste. A people problem, not the hotel.
