Accommodation Near Benedict Lake

Friendly staff, nice continental breakfast, room was clean and quiet, nice pool.

We chose this house for our family vacation because there were 16 of us and the house had 7 bedrooms and 4 baths. The bedrooms were a bit small and Spartan, but they worked for our family. I was a little leery about being within a block of downtown Walker, but that turned out to be a real plus, since people were able to walk to shop at fun stores, get Dairy Queen, and a grab some Starbucks coffee. The grandkids had a great time paddling the home’s kayaks, jumping on a Lily Pad that we brought, and inflatable rafts. I would have loved it if the kids were able to catch sunfish off the dock, but that was not the case. A final key point is that the Lake Life management is very competent if an issue arises. On the third morning of our stay, a major storm blew through that knocked down a huge pine tree on the lot, ripping down the power lines to the house. I immediately called the Lake Life office and talked to Christina about the situation. She got to work and had an electrician and tree service company on site by noon and power back on by 4:00 that afternoon. During the whole process, when I called the office, Christina answered. After the power was restored, we found that the internet router was fried. That evening, Christina and her husband stopped by and replaced/programmed a new router. Kudos to Christina.In summary our family had a wonderful time at the house and went home with lots of great memories and a few stories as well.

Check in was slow, then was told I had to wait 15-20 minutes until room was clean. The room was nice.

Delightfully stay in a cool town

What a cozy, great place to stay. This was super close to where our family was staying. Wonderful to sit on little porch under overhang and enjoy the falling rain. Everything was there that was needed. Even chairs for the deck. All bedding was there. Beds were comfortable. And Lana (owner) messaged prior to our stay and for every question after she was immediately available. We felt safe and well taken care of.
