The hotel would have been ok for a 2 star but not 4 star. Reception closes at midnight meaning you have to carry out a self serve check in which is what i would have expected from a 2 star or motel, not a 4 star hotel. When arriving from abroad one could have many issues or questions that need to resolved so is not helpful if there is no staff on duty. Room itself was ok, but bathroom was in a very poor state. Really grubby shower. Again not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel or even a 2 star to be honest.

The was hot, ac unit weren't properly working, the breakfast isn't great but the lady that served us was very helpful and nice. The manager were very helpful however, the bldg needs some renevation.

Good flight option

Good option close to Bergamo Airport. Not much to do outside hotel so ideal if you have a car. Bergamo city is just 10 mins drive. As is orio al serio airport.

Did not like the neighborhood

Shutter service too expansive, taxi charged €14 from the Bergamo airport to hotel and hotel charges €20, free breakfast was terrible. Ladies serving at the counters were very nice and helpful.

Not too far from airport

We stayed here because we were flying out next morning and had a rental car. Parking was free, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was decent. Restaurant was pretty good for dinner and the prices were reasonable.

Hotel Donizetti

Very friendly hotel in Lallio, just outside Bergamo. Excellent service, friendly staff, good value for money - but more suited to guests with cars (bus service is not great, especially on Sundays). Hotel restaurant very good.

I would come again.

The hotel itself is lovely, with a nice comfortable room that reflects the price you pay. The staff are wonderful with special thanks to Alan(hope I spelt that correct) they know a lot about the area and what they do not know, they will find for you. Only thing that I felt needed improvement was the standard of the breakfast. Across the road there is a delightful cafe, where the service and reception you receive is just wonderful. The town of Bergamo itself is amazing, especially the upper town, which given time could take a few days to fully appreciate. Travelling elsewhere is fairly difficult, but possible. Just make sure you plan your travel to centrale milano in advance.

Good location, room in need of refurbishment

The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport and the room was clean, however it was in need of refurbishment, with the grout in the bathroom gone in places, and some of the wood skirting needing replacement. The minibar was empty, and despite travelling with a very young child, the room we were given was very noisy until about midnight. Overall, the 4 stars seemed unrealistic.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY NEAR MILAN'S AIRPORT

This was a nice surprise for us - excellent value and an excellent, comfortable, quiet hotel in a very convenient location. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff were terrific.
