Property was clean. Breakfast had good variety. A lot of hotels in Norway don't have AC. There was a heat wave when we were there but unfortunately, the hotel ran out of fans so the temperature in the room at night was barely survivable. We were at the back of the hotel and our room was overlooking a courtyard of an adjacent apartment building housing students. The students were very noisy during the weekend.

The staff here were fantastic. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always fresh with plenty of choice. It is very conveniently located. The bus station, shops, Bryggen and the Floibanen funicular are all within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The rooms are a little dated but this is a minor issue. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Good location for public transport. Room was adequate for a short stay, could benefit from Aircon but accept that our stay was during exceptionally hot weather. Breakfast was exceptional!

Great rooms, great location in the center of the city, outstanding breakfast with all Norwegian specialties, including brown cheese, blackcurrant jam, salmon, porridge. Scandic Byparken is in a great location and it was very easy to find and to get to the center of Bergen. The only reason I'm not giving more stars is that the pictures for the Family Room for four had a double and 2 single beds which I assumed was standard for these rooms and when we arrived we had a double bed and a sofa bed which my two teenagers weren't very impressed with. Luckily it was very warm so one teenager slept on top of the their duvet on the floor. I should have asked to change rooms at the time, but everyone had already started unpacking so I didn't.

Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. Only concern was room door locks… unique to Norway.. should be instructions in room on how to use… need to scan your card against lock when leaving… came back one day to fund my door wide open… Convenient location… would stay here again.

Unfortunately my son booked this hotel where he got a bad experience. He arrived at 10PM after a long trip from Oslo so he could not remember the room number. The lady who was charge of checking in yelled at him. Then later she accused him of running away. I did not like they took advanced of him because he is a younger man and he was alone. If I could ask for a refund I would love it. Please avoid this hotel if you are traveling alone. I was worry of my son’s safety after she accused of running away. Running away from what?

It’s fine, wouldn’t stay longer than a few days

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty. The locations decent for the price. However there was quite a bit of miscommunication about room cleaning. The hotel is good in that they are eco friendly and do not waste resources by cleaning every day but we requested a clean and never got it. Then when we asked for them to clean, someone came and folded our bedspreads but did not sweep or empty trash or give us new towels. When requested new towels we got some though. The rooms are very basic and small but have everything you need, and again, the desk staff is very kind and helpful.

Staff was very accommodating and provided two more pillow and a sheet. Room was too hot and we had no way to cool it. Sleeping with a quilt on was too hot but just a sheet was perfect. The location was ideal being near the harbor and many tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want. Thank you!

Room was very functional, but the glass shower door was loose and did not stay in a position to stop water from leaking on to the bathroom floor. Very friendly staff and one of the most amazing Hotel breakfast buffets I have ever had! Definitely recommend!
