Great hotel in a wonderful location

Excellent Reception and Room. They upgraded upon check in to balcony room. Breakfast and location good. Very funny small cafe. Good price. Taksim square only 2 minutes by walk.

The hotel is total improvised. It is never explained anywhere when you book your reservation that the hotel is divided in 2 buildings that are not together you have to walk 2 blocks and climb 57 stairs to have breakfast, the hotel is in a steep hill so side walks are stairs, 57 stairs to go from your room to the building that has the restaurant. We didn’t had hot water in the shower, you hat to tell them you wanted warm water in the shower so they turn on the eater heater, so two days we arrived pretty late from a tour and never had hot water in the shower, we had to shower with ice cold water, we got sick. The hotel gave silly excuses, or offered at 11 pm a room change in the second building, so that meant carry luggage 57 stairs and s steep hill, because cars cannot reach the second building. We spoke with the manager next day, “ I am sorry, we offered a room change in the middle of the night and you didn’t accept it” of course not! I was not going to make my little daughter, family, elderly mom, climb a hill with luggage in the middle of the night. Terrible!!! Yes staff are pretty nice but solve nothing.

The negative reviews (Taksim location) are definitely competitors sabotage! Ignore the noise and book it! Expedia has the best price! From live chefs cooking stations to pristine rooms (sanctuary of comfort), and Iconic Landmarks Views, it’s an incredible value! Highly Recommend at The Marmara Hotel in TAKSIM District in Istanbul (5 stars hotel). The BREAKFAST - bounty array of fresh dishes, and made to order stations that cater to every craving; premium quality of food, bread, fruits and drinks, simply unbeatable price! The LOUNGE ACCESS is a magnificent view to landmarks with affordable value for all they provide- the curated drink menu and gourmet small plates not to mention the artisan pastries, made me feel like VIP! The SPA & The POOL The Starbucks next door. We were ASTONISHED by all the beauty of the hotel (better than Central Park’s NY hotels). The videos & website’s hotel cannot capture the magnificent views, the superb hospitality all the staff who provided a royal treatment in a sophisticated atmosphere! The lobby area is nice, the Safran on highest floor is spectacular but insanely pricey. breakfast is not that good for a self proclaimed 5 star hotel. The rooms and things in it are quite dated. The sea view from 6th floor wasn't that nice and was obstructued by crumbling apartments. Overall, didnt like this hotel and wont come back.

Beautiful hotel and great service. Mehmet and Tuğba at the front desk were always friendly and ready to help with anything we needed.
