Creekside Studio - 1 bed/1 bath

Located on the sloping hillside across the street from the Strawhouse Cafe', this yellow house will greet you with a warming glow as you enter in. Although it is attached to Suncrest House (booked separately), it does not share any inside spaces but does share the undercover porch and patio areas. It's perfect for families who want to be close to each other but not in the same space, or for a single person or couple looking for some private space. It is one of two of our pet-friendly accommodations (the other being Suncrest House). Must notify Strawhouse prior to arrival if bringing a pet. Pet must be well-behaved and non-destructive. Absolutely no pets with fleas are allowed. Although we love animals, pets are not allowed down by the private river's edge on the Strawhouse side of the property out of respect for other guests (there are other local river access areas - please ask about them!), and there is a very spacious and beautiful lawn area on our park side that they are free to enjoy, and lots of beautiful hiking areas nearby! We do ask that you pick up after your pet. Things to experience include: hiking, fishing, white water rafting, bird watching, mountain biking, relaxing, local art, and so much more!

A great place to relax and slow down

This was a great little oasis in the woods. With a small, quaint few shops and houses, the area was peaceful and artsy. We had a cute suite that was private, comfy and just as pictured. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway. Also a great launch point for river activity , hikes or even a short trek to the redwoods! The only thing we would discourage during COVID is having guests wash their own dishes and put them away. Though i am sure most guests take that very seriously, it does not seem to fit with COVID-safe practices of most businesses. Without diminishing the overall experience, we did find that practice inconsistent with these times and the clear care and attentiveness to detail of the hosts. Just a suggestion. . .
