This was the most deceiving place. 3 doors had been kicked in and had holes in them along with the frames all were damaged. Scuffs and damage to multiple doors, old food in the refrigerator, a broken chair, smoke detector fell off the ceiling and hit my wife in the face in the middle of the night. Ladder for the bunk bed is not attached to anything and fell over many times, once resulting in my son slamming into the floor. One of the televisions Roku box didn’t work. Be aware there is no privacy in here. The master bedroom has shutters that open to the cabin. Even when they are shut, you’ll smell and hear everyone else and they can hear you, there is no privacy available, it’s not shown in the pics. The two worst things that I didn’t mention yet were the insane cat urine smell that is soaked into the stairs and the front door doesn’t stay unlocked. If you leave the cabin without your key, you’ll be locked out and it happened to us twice. The first time we were unpacking and our toddlers were locked inside and with my wife and I outside. None of this was even remotely communicated to us. I messaged the host and they didn’t apologize, just said they can’t control the damage somebody else caused (then why don’t you fix your cabin), but honestly this place should not be available to rent. Host offered to refund the cleaning fee (100 of the 2100 stay) or have it cleaned while we were still there and soak the carpet in winter. VRBO support declared it a safety risk.
