I ordered breakfast from the Magnolia House website, which said it went through. Waited 45 minutes for notification it was ready, finally went down to check and was told they never received the order. Waitstaff didn’t apologize, just said they’d take my order and it would take 10 minutes. Gave them my order and sat down to wait. 30 minutes later (after watching them chat about personal matters the entire time) I got up and asked about the delay. They walked over and grabbed my order and said it had been ready for 15 minutes or more. They let me sit there and ignored me and didn’t tell me the order was ready. No one apologized for this second screwup. The night before I had a terrible steak quesadilla at the Salt and Sizzle. The steak was mostly gristle, but at least the bartender was attentive and gave great service. IF I ever stay again I certainly won’t be eating at any of Harrah’s restaurants

The carpet was dirty. The carpet had a smell. The house keeping service was terrible. I asked for a spread/two nights in a row. I never received it/terrible service. I asked the housekeeper for extra towels when I arrived-I was told to call housekeeping/that was ridiculous!

I booked a room at the last minute on a whim, for a quick getaway. Nice room, with a view of the parking lot. (I got the room at a deeply discounted rate: it would have been double the price to face the Gulf of Mexico. No biggie!) The casino is one large room--a bit loud, though that is to be expected for this type of establishment. Smoking is permitted, so if that is a deterrent, the non-smoking Palace Casino is a short drive (longish walk) from Harrah's. There are multiple dining options near the pool and in the casino itself, and other restaurants offsite but nearby. It isn't the nicest casino in Biloxi, but it's above average--at a much better price than its competitors.

Rude woman (Sarah) at the check in. We were a few minutes early and she said she would have to charge us $15 for early check in. And we may not have an available room even then. The hotel was basically empty! Terrible plumbing in our room. The toilet would not flush, maintenance had to be called. The shower would not turn off either. The linens on our bed would not stay on. Fitted sheet was so old and frayed and elastic at the corners stretched out to the point it would not stay on. We will not ever stay here again.
