Historic Brewery Gulch is the arts and entertainment district of Old Bisbee, and the 400 Club is center stage to all the great day and nightlife activities that our wonderful town has to offer. Built in 1905, the 400 Club is a former brothel with a fascinating history. The space has been renovated into a two bedroom apartment, and overlooks Brewery Gulch and "B" Mountain. The front door is on the Broadway Steps Art Wall, and is one of the most photographed spots in Bisbee. Permit# 20232539

This is a full upstairs apartment, and there are no shared spaces. There is a mini-split AC unit in the hallway, and additional window AC units in the front bedroom and kitchen. The mini-split also heats the apartment, and we have extra space heaters in both bedrooms in case it gets chilly. There is a bar with live music located downstairs, and it closes at 10pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends. Please be aware that noise may be a problem if you go to sleep early.

Please note that the steps to the apartment are very steep, especially the first three. Please use caution! This apartment may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The bathtub also has a high step to enter.

Mini split barely worked, place was not very clean. I stepped on a toothpick in the kitchen as soon as we got there. The fridge handles were dirty, one of the couch cushions is busted with the stuffing falling out the back. One of the doors has a hole in it and it’s covered with a potato sack. The location was great. Absolutely top notch. The inside requires some maintenance. The he beds were uncomfortable and the bedding seeming like someone’s leftovers and not carefully selected for a VRBO. The host needs to spend a little bit of time and energy, not even a lot, to make this better.

The property is trying the retro vibe, but they need to do a better job! Upon arrival we messaged our contact to ask how to gain access and her reply was that we should’ve received it. Well, had we received it, we wouldn’t be asking for it! There were chairs in the living room with arm rests that came apart. We noticed cobwebs in the living area and bedroom. Not all of the outlets worked in one of the bedrooms, not to mention the disgusting stains on the carpets and pillows in both bedrooms. The throws should have been thrown out and not laid out so that guests would use the appalling things. The pink bath tub was dirty and the shower caddy was full of leftover products from other guests. And the shower curtain liner was dirty and stained, it should’ve been replaced about five years ago. We asked if there were paper towels for the kitchen and were informed that there weren’t, but there were plenty of kitchen towels. The kitchen towels were stained and frayed. We were given 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for four adults and it ran out by the next evening. The rolls were small, not double. So we needed to purchase some along with paper towels. This place had so many other things which should’ve been cleaned or replaced, but it’s pointless. The vibe we received was “We want to make money, but we not going to clean and maintain our place”. We’ll never return, nor will we recommend it to anyone.
