I had a nice stay at this hotel with a balcony looking out over the channeled stream that runs through the north side of the property. The hotel is immaculate and the bar/lounge area is cozy on a winter night with live music on Fridays. The only drawbacks for me were: 1) a $23 per night "resort fee," which to me is just bait-and-switch (this is NOT a resort with tennis courts and miniature golf, etc); 2) very dark rooms (dark brown wallpaper over everything, dark curtains) and 3) absolutely tasteless food at breakfast. Powdered eggs covered in some awful cheese, cubed/frozen potato bits that tasted reconstituted, and cardboard-tasting biscuits.
Beautiful creek, quaint fire pit, substantial breakfast and warm and inviting lobyy. They added a wine bar with some dinner options as well, which is great after a long day of travel or adventure.
