Enjoyed our stay. Disappointed room wasn't ready an hour after check in and an upgrade would require additional payment. Did not like the chlorine smell and green water appearance. The shower door in our room leaked and needed more towels. There was only the bathroom mirror in our room. A fuller length mirror would be nice. Loved the Dove shampoo, conditioner, wash and lotion. The holders were really convenient. Continental breakfast was nice, but regular coffee is needed in the room too.

The breakfasts are delicious! Coffee available 24hrs/day in the lobby. My room was small since it’s a former dorm room but had the charming original hardwood floors and beautiful remodeled bathroom.

When entering the hotel, people were laying on the couches, first impression. When checking in after 4:00pm, our rooms were not ready and we were offered an upgrade at an extra charge. The hotel pool was green and had an overwhelming smell of chlorine. The coffee in the room was decaffeinated only. The staff were nice that worked the breakfast.

Property is unique and cool Price is sky high for a tiny room (298.00 x 2 nights!!) the room was TINY! The pool water is green and burned our eyes My child woke up with swollen red eyes and laid all night with a Cold rag on them. There was very little food available for breakfast and variety the first day the second day their cook never showed up for work. Limited USB plug in not even sure the fridge worked. Again the building is cool they even had busses to shuttle people not sure where. But I have been in cheaper hotels w a clean clear pool and hot tub, this place did not have hot tub. Other places for way cheaper had a variety and wonderful breakfast lay out, bigger rooms more comfort, plugs ins available for charging stations/usb ports ect.

This hotel is fine. The building was once a women's college so their are high ceilings, wide halls, and huge windows, all of which are lovely. There is no real mention of that fact anywhere, however, so when you drive in from one side, you wonder if you're at an office park which is somewhat odd. Our first room had a broken toilet in the bathroom so we were moved to a different room. Both were fine though there were crumbs on various countertops, dust/hair on the floor. Not spotless! The breakfast is very average and not healthy but I was thankful for coffee. Overall a fine place but nothing memorable.

Blackstone, VA is my hometown where I grew up. I remember the facility when it was active, I was then about 16 years old. It's amazing to see it as a hotel now. I was extremely pleased to see the amazing improvements and I had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Beautiful Inn. They have done a really good job renovating it. I would say an 8x10 rug on the hard wood would go a long way! We also enjoyed walking around the little town. Cute shops and some nice restaurants.

Everything was great except that you could hear ... everything. We were near the elevators and could hear people talking and walking upstairs, beside us, and outside the door till 2 am. It was comfortable. Checking in was easy. But most importantly it was clean.
