Absolutely beautiful hotel! After asking the extremely pleasant, friendly and wonderful staff about the history I found out that the Inn used to be a Woman's college. Beautiful brick structure with a warm industrial/elegant feel inside. As if you were stepping back in time. The rotary phone in the room is an excellent touch. Outside in the courtyard is a very warm and cozy area with two large brick fire pits and comfortable rocking chairs around extra large tables. I was in town for parent's weekend at Longwood, so I wasn't able to see what the actual town of Blackstone was like. However, I would HIGHLY recommend this quaint and elegant Inn, as it truly is an Inn and not a hotel experience.

Convenient to Lake Phoenix. Clean rooms, quick breakfast. Unfortunately the waffle maker was broken :( Staff is always friendly. Love the historic items around the facility.

The room was very nice. I appreciated the little refrigerator. The pool, work out room and location in a historic place were excellent. I thought the breakfast was a bit average.. no fresh fruit was offered. I expected a more friendly reception. There is room for improvement there! Also to note that the place is large so there is quite a walk to the rooms which is not so good when you have a number of things to carry to your room and you are a senior.

We had a very unique and pleasant stay for 2 nights in July 2025 at the Inn at Blackstone. Although the Inn was a former girls school that was opened in the 1890's, the room's renovation provided us with all the necessities of being at home. The breakfast was excellent and staff great!!

Beautifully restored property. Staff was excellent. Beds were comfortable. My lack of one additional star was because of Expedia and not the hotel or staff. The stay was excelent. We were going for a diving class and mixed reviews on inclement weather. I wanted to add insurance after I booked but could not do it either on line or at the hotel (*because of it being a third party vendor). Also wanted to upgrade at the hotel for a larger room but couldn't do that either. I am very disappointed in Expedia. If things go awry, you are at the mercy of Expedia. The hotel and staff was willing to help me out but their hands were tied. Saving a few dollars is not worth working with this vendor.
