Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Everything was very clean and neat. Our host had on the fireplaces and lights for when we arrived. She had snacks in the kitchen ready for us. She had all instructions printed out and completely understandable. My daughter lost one earring while there and our host was so kind to locate it and she even put it in the mail back to us. She was in constant contact when I had a question. She went above and beyond to make our stay in Blanco enjoyable! Thank you Deb. We hope to be back again soon.

Aside from the wonderful communication with a most thoughtful host, this little house is absolutely charming!! We were enamored with everything! The clawfoot tub, the fireplaces, the kitchen and dishes! Wonderful porch to sit on, and cute backyard. Very cozy living area. We will definitely be going back to this house!

Ethyl's Place is a cozy, vintage, small-town dream! If you choose to stay here make sure you read Deb's renovation story paired with the picture album of her journey; it's gives you invaluable insight and appreciation for the home! Deb left us (and our dogs) goodies and had everything else well stocked :)

I would give it more stars if I could! The house is beautifully restored and decorated. The host was so incredibly nice and responsive. She left a bag of goodies, oranges, bananas and snacks! The bathtub is amazing! And there are bath salts and bubble bath that smell wonderful. The pull out couch bed was super comfy. We felt very pampered It's a great location, close to many restaurants and the grocery store is just a few minutes away. Would definitely stay here again! 10 stars!

Very easy to get to. Loved all the antique furniture & nostalgic decorations for the Christmas holiday. Kitchen was very roomy , but would’ve been nice a slightly larger convection/toaster oven to cook our breakfast casserole in.

This was going back in time and walking in expecting grandmas with a plate of cookies. We were in town for an event and didn't get to spend much time in the house. But, I did find time for a bath in the clawfoot tub. We would like to come back again with no agenda and just enjoy the space.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Blanco staying in this charming home. The house is furnished with beautiful antiques, decor, and appliances that are period appropriate for this vintage cottage. The host provided snacks, breakfast items, and even treats for our dog for our visit. It was an unexpected treat! The home is close to everything in town and a short 15-minute drive to Johnson City and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This place is great. I'm glad that it was saved from demolition. Came for birthday trip. Enjoyed everything about the property. The story about the property is a great short read. Sat out under the tree on the back patio. Sat on the front porch in the cool mornings. Will come back.
