Gates that should have been locked were broken, the court yard in the back of the hotel had little to no grass very dry. We didn't feel safe when we were in the courtyard due to the intoxicated people that were out on the river trail.

I called that morning before leaving home to check reservations. Asked if I had a room with a shower and about the pool. I have problems with my legs and getting in the pool helps me. When we arrived the pool was not working and they didn’t have my reservation. NOT HAPPY we left.

When I arrived I was informed that the person who had my room decided to stay another night and my room was unavailable. There were no other rooms available. I had to search three other hotels before finding a room for the night after a long day of driving. They handled the situation poorly.

The location of this property was perfect for us especially since we were traveling with our dog. The lawn in the back needed cleaned up. Bird droppings along back side of the hotel and dog droppings in the lawn. No poop bags were available, although responsible pet owners should have had their own. Service for our room was lacking. We had to ask for clean cups and glasses and coffee refills. One day our room was not even visited by the maid service. Their tip went back in my pocket! The breakfasts were good at the Bistro. Everyone was friendly there.

Everything was great except the hot tub was out of service. We bought the add-on breakfast at the bistro. Day 1 breakfast was pretty good. Day 2 I the brioche French toast to go and they burned 2 slices and served them on the bottom. Was pretty disappointed. But overall the hotel is clean and the staff is really great to work with.
