The beds felt like they were just springs. Very uncomfortable. The door to the outside patio area did not lock we had to deadbolt and put the slider on you could still push it open. We had a nonsmoking room but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. When we turned on the air it got even worse. The smell is intense. The furniture in the room was so filthy it had obvious streaks of multicolored mystery. Luckily we only needed it for a few hours sleep not that it was restful. On the plus side it was cheap. I also kinda love the 70’s aesthetic. I thought maybe it was intentionally retro but I think it just hasn’t been updated since then given the dinosaur of a thermostat.

Had an issue with the electric not working in half the room. Very next day was fixed. I think the continental breakfast should be better than a sack bag

It was a clean bed. The hotel is very old and smelled like something was burning. I did like that it had two sinks, one in the bath and one in the room. The breakfast was a bag with a packaged honey bun, which was actually good. The coffee was almost drinkable, but not quite. The people hanging over the balconies and smoking, was not a welcome sight.

Run don't think about it RUN!

I had started going to the days inn for anniversaries with my wife. We liked it so much we decided to go there for family get aways. We had a few power outages and stayed. The air conditioning worked great except my last 3 stays. 2 of which were big anniversary. One was 20 years of marriage. The 2nd was 25 years of being together. And both times no air conditioning. The clerk even had the stones to tell me on 75 degree weather people are asking for heat in Ohio. The 3rd time was an emergency with my grandsons .4 month old and 2 years old. You ever torture kids in a smoldering hotel room when it's 80 degrees outside? We'll if you want to stay at the Days inn . They stopped cleaning carpets long ago. The bathrooms have rusted tubs and paint peeling from the ceiling. Last night's room didn't have the paint peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom but it had a nice large piece of the drywall like sliced and pulledback sorta. Not the easiest thing to explain. I was promised a complimentary night to bake up for the earlier incidents but good luck collecting. They look at you life they have no idea. You said an evil evil word free so it's like you have leprosy when you try to collect: on what is owed to you by their admission. This incident the manager leaves me a rude message sorry we couldn't satisfy you the last 3 stays ill refund you pay nights stay . Stay very fast away from the days inn in Niles Ohio. Pay a few dollars more and go to a place that takes pride in their hote

just okay

There was a bedspread left on the chair from whoever was there before us, the air didn't work, and it was close to 90 outside. The bed was comfortable but it's a very dated place and next time I'll be choosing some place different to stay.
