With sweeping views of the lake from the wrap-around deck, a private dock and float, and plenty of outdoor space for relaxation and recreation, this home is designed for those looking to unwind and enjoy all the natural beauty that Maine has to offer. This house a has a Sony flatscreen TV for streaming and a Cuisinart coffee maker.

This property is a single-floor home 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Enter this comfortable home through the kitchen and you`ll feel like you`re immediately on the lake. This cozy home has everything you`ll need for a peaceful Maine retreat.

This property offers two kayaks for guest use. Enjoy the beautiful views that Knickerbocker Lake has to offer while watching the many different kinds of birds and other wildlife that live near the lake.

IMPORTANT:
Instead of placing a security deposit hold on your card, we include a small, non-refundable $25 damage waiver in the reservation total—so your funds remain available throughout your trip. This Waiver covers damages up to $300.
• Quiet hours are 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Please respect our neighbors at all times.
• Maximum occupancy is as shown on the listing. Additional guests are subject to $25/person/night and may result in cancellation if excessive.
• A mandatory, non-refundable damage waiver is included in your reservation total in place of a security deposit. Guests remain responsible for damage exceeding coverage or resulting from negligence or rule violations.

We loved visiting this special retreat on Lake Knickerbocker. It's in a wonderful location, only 7 minutes to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, near great grocery stores and restaurants, and Booth Bay Village. In particular, there was a five star view from the deck! It was a very peaceful stay! We were thrilled to see a pair of Common Loons frequently calling from the lake. We saw Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Heron, and even a rare Northern Waterthrush! The hosts were incredibly helpful and nice! They helped make it a wonderful holiday trip. Thank you!
The lake would often be like a mirror, and the trees were just beginning to change.
Our first morning, the mist rose off the lake, creating a mysterious landscape.
The skies were stunning and the reflection in the lake (off the deck) was magical.
Almost every evening, there was a picturesque sunset.

Check in was great. Very accommodating. Very nice outdoor seating, however there were way too many spiders and cobwebs. not just from an overnight spiderweb, but nests underneath the chairs. lots of ants inside. only two windows had screens. There were temporary screens, but due to the style of the windows, when they were installed, bugs would come through the top. lots of ants.

Nice spot to relax

This is a nice little camp with a good layout for two parties. The bedrooms are on either side with their own baths and the middle acts as a common area with a living room and kitchen. There is a little dock in deep water that’s great for swimming. Kayaks are provided and the lake is chock full of good sized bass. We saw loons hawks and even a bald eagle fishing on the lake. If you’re looking for a simple little hideaway close to town this place fits the bill.

A beautiful place. So peaceful and scenic. More rustic than expected but this turned out to be just what we needed. Back to nature and quiet. The views of the lake from every room make this place so special. Kayaking on the lake was soul lifting. The beds are new and fantastic, which meant everything. I would happily return every year.

Easy to find and Judy met me at the house so check in was simple. Once unpacked, we felt at home, so comfortable, easy to relax. I could sit on that deck forever!! Such a beautiful area. Views are stunning, stars at night, amazing! It’s so quiet and peaceful there. Everything you need in a kitchen, though we did not cook while there. Bedroom (with 2 beds) has a HUGE closet, including hangers. Beds are comfortable and plenty of pillows. Having two bathrooms was great too! Check out is just as easy. I was sad to leave and would definitely rent this house again in the future!

Idyllic Stay

Everything was wonderful. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we pulled up to the cabin. The lake views from the large windows were amazing. We loved sitting outside on the deck and on the dock. I went for a swim and the water was amazing. We were so close to Boothbay Harbor and even did several small trips to neighboring towns. Great location. We loved every second and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

My husband and I spent the week here for our one year wedding anniversary and we couldn't be happier. The home is cozy and has a gorgeous view of the lake. With a private dock, it made for the perfect place to take a dip in the water and go kayaking. Not to mention it's only 10 minutes from all the Boothbay restaurants and activities, so needless to say, we really took advantage of all the seafood spots! Additionally, the host was super accessible for any and all of our needs and provided a detailed binder with directions on your stay and nearby attractions.
