Average hotel … we were given 211 which had a very noisy extractor fan outside the room. When mentioned … the hotel said that it couldn’t be turned off and offered ear plugs.

We stayed for only one night, but this is one of our favorite hotels. First of all, we are family of 5 and stayed in the family room. It is more than enough to accommodate six people comfortably. The hotel is also extremely well maintained and very clean. It is directly across the street from a grocery store. Also the buffet breakfast was by far the nicest one we’ve had as we’ve driven the ring around Iceland. I could not recommend this hotel enough if you’re looking to spend a couple of days in Borgarnes.

Very comfortable stay at Vesturland hotel. Clean and tidy, well designed common areas and professional, welcoming staff. Lots of dining options around and ample parking. We had a pleasant stay!

We were 4 adults in a “hostel” room for a night. The room is cramped with hardly any space. The bathroom doesn’t even have hooks to hang towels. Shower head is good with nice water pressure and is satisfying. The curtain didn’t even completely cover the window and in June when there’s sunlight round the clock, it’s very inconvenient…

A very nice place. Clean, modern. However, they did not have blackout curtains and the curtains did not do a great job covering light sources from the window. I'm sure this is a great place to stay in the winter, but if you stay in the summer be sure to bring blindfolds for sleeping.

A comfortable and clean hotel. We booked 2 rooms for our friends and we enjoyed our stay in Borgarnes. The Settlement House was in walking distance and had an excellent dinner. One of our rooms didn’t have a teapot to use with the instant coffee and tea but the manager brought one right up when we called. Our rooms were located right over the hotel bar and it got quite noisy with karaoke but that was my only concern. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

Very hard mattress

The overall stay was okay but I have rated them down because the bed was so hard I couldn’t sleep on it. I ended up sleeping on top of the comforter using it as a mattress topper to be able to finally fall asleep. I was not aware you could even buy a mattress that hard.
