Motel 6 in Danvers was exactly what I needed. Clean room, hard floors(no carpet to mess up. The service was friendly and they even helped me up off the ground when I fell. I’m in a motel 6 in Virginia tonight and the person that checked me in was not friendly and didn’t give me directions to my room.

The rooms were clean and cozy enough. They served their purpose and were reasonably priced for being Halloween weekend near Salem. What is making me hesitant about ever staying there again was the fact that the rooms lacked a coffee pot and none of the 3 vending machines, that were as easy to find as Waldo hidden in a sea of candy canes, had coffee. We had no idea that they set out coffee in the lobby in the mornings until we went down to retrieve our coffee delivery from Uber eats

This is definitely a Motel 6 and you get what you pay for, that’s for sure. I stayed here for 3 nights - The first night I checked in and all was fine until I started walking up to my room. In the hallway of my room I saw a door with a towel rolled up in front of the doorframe… a few steps further and I noticed a couple cockroaches roaming around. When I got to my room I noticed a cockroach exiting the doorway. I scoped it out and didn’t find anymore that night. The second night when I returned to my room I went to flush the toilet and saw several cockroaches scurry under the floorboard. I debated getting another hotel room but everything was far too overpriced so last minute I couldn’t afford it. So I went down to the front desk to ask to switch rooms. They were in the middle of a shift change so I waited in the lobby until they were done. While I was waiting in the lobby, another customer came down to ask for a room change as well - no idea what for though. We did the room change and they moved me from the third floor to the first floor (it seemed like they were doing renovations to the first floor because it was all set up like they were doing recent construction. That room was awesome. Major “upgrade” from what I was previously in. The water got very hot, the bathroom fan worked, but more importantly - no cockroaches!! The third night was fine as well, no cockroaches. The front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful in this situation as well.

Non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke, room was on first floor and window to parking lot would not lock. Cockroaches were coming out desk below tv screen. Halls lined with paper and taped to carpet. Staff issued reimbursement so that was nice.

Pictures online were very misleading. Rooms did not look half as good in person. There was no hair dryer, closet space, tissues, or even pen and paper. There was only 3 pillows on our king bed with a bright light strip running across the top of head board that we could not shut off. Had tonuse blanket to cover up light so could sleep. No outlets and only 1 set of towels per person so 2 all together for our weekend stay. Just fell like for the price that they charge per night that it could have been a little more accommodating and cozy P.S. - Elevator was definitely a little sketchy.

Another Terrible Motel 6 Experience Beware! We checked into this Motel 6 in the evening, two families with two rooms. From the outside, the hotel looked nice, and the man at the front desk was friendly. However, once we got inside, everything went downhill. The building was under renovation, and we were given one of the “newly renovated” rooms. On the way to our rooms, we saw several cockroaches in the elevator, and once inside both rooms, we found many cockroaches — big and small — crawling around. We immediately left both rooms. The front desk clerk seemed tense but processed our refund right away, and we left the property. At that hour, we had no choice but to find another hotel late at night with our children thankfully we did. This was our second awful experience with Motel 6 at a completely different location, and it was just as disgusting as the first. We will never stay at Motel 6 again. Be careful this brand has serious cleanliness and pest control problems!
